Our Story: From Cliff & Moss to Time Home Loans
Time Home Loans began as Cliff & Moss, a home-based brokerage named after two men from our family's past. Since opening in 2013, the business has grown into a Brisbane mortgage and finance broker that compares 50+ lenders and services clients Australia wide.
Time Home Loans didn't start in a corporate office. It started as a home-based business, with one broker who believed people deserved better than the "bank machine". Three brands later the idea hasn't changed: we work for you, not the banks.
Two names worth carrying forward
Our first business had quite an unusual name for a finance broker: Cliff & Moss. That was the point. Cliff and Moss were two great men from our family's past. Cliff was a gentleman to the end and Moss was a pioneering farmer. Their legacies gave us a simple brief: do things properly and don't be afraid to do them differently.
That's still how we work today. We mix old school values, education and experience with modern technology, service and attitudes.
A founder who saw the gap
Johnathon Reeves grew up in a family of business owners, which gave him an early appreciation for where business and finance meet. He completed a Bachelor of Business in Finance at QUT, gained experience in England's finance sector and went on to work for a major bank.
Time spent in personal banking, business lending and even debt collection showed him what the industry was missing. Customers needed more than a loan. They needed a partner who understood their situation and put people before profits.
Starting from home
Cliff & Moss Finance Brokers began as a home-based operation in Queensland, driven by Johnathon's desire to move away from the rigid "bank machine" approach to lending. Rather than fitting the customer to the bank, we set out to fit the bank to the customer.
Three brands, one journey
Johnathon's commitment to personal service led to three brands: Cliff & Moss Finance Brokers, Healthy Loans and ultimately Time Home Loans. Each one was a stepping stone in our evolution and Time Home Loans has become our flagship.
Along the way we grew from a single operator into a team of finance specialists.
